Spring Days

Experience the open spaces, fresh air and scent of a spring garden.
I choose plants for my garden based on their perfume, their colour
and the fruits and flowers that they yield.
I get great joy from my garden
and relish time enjoying it's beauty and growth.

Country Life

One of the things that attracts me about life in the country
is hanging onto old fashioned traditions,
where you are more self sufficient
and the meals are home cooked and full of home grown goodness.
I love the idea of vegie patches,
fruit orchards, free range chickens
milk and cream straight from the dairy
and home made jam made from hand picked berries.
I also like the idea of a slower paced life
where there's really time to relax and unwind!

Swedish Style - The Outdoor Room

I love any  kind of Scandinavian design ~
whether it's sleek, stylish and minimal
or oozing with rustic vintage charm.
I am loving these Swedish style 'shabby chic' outdoor spaces
in weathered greys, chalky whites and soft greens.
Enjoy your Saturday!

Pretty Garden Florals

Being married to a landscape architect I have a great appreciation of gardens and outdoor spaces. One thing I have learnt along the way - is that no matter how small your space is - there is always potential to create something beautiful. I have seen tiny courtyards and barren backyards transformed into a lush oasis of calm and tranquility. I have watched neglected decks turn into inviting places to while away a sunny afternoon. All it takes is a little bit of imagination, some hard work and a wheelbarrow full of plants!

Sunlit Days

There's something magical about sunny days in the country where the morning sunlight streams through the windows, the grass glistens as the sun hits the morning dew drops and fields of flowers positively glow in shades of gold!

Country Retreat

Nothing beats a weekend escape to the country :- breathe in the fresh air, stretch forgotten muscles, smell the roses and dust off the cobwebs. Indulge in some good old fashioned home cooked food :- think pies and stews, roasts and casseroles. Finish off hearty meals with pudding and custard then relax in front of the fire with a glass of port and let your thoughts drift far away from the city and the maddening crowds. Sleep soundly under goose down quilts and wake to the sound of chirping birds and sun streaming through the window.
