Afternoon Tea
One of my favourite things for a sunny afternoon, is to set up afternoon tea in the garden. The table is set up on the lawn in the shade of a big tree with the white damask table cloth, pretty china and the Harrods silver cutlery. A bit of drama is added with silver candelabra and colourful flowers. Finally the table is laden up with tiered cake plates piled high with dainty sandwiches, petite pastries and a sponge cake. It's the perfect way to while away a lazy afternoon!
Walking on Sunshine
I am loving this fresh palette of yellow and white for a country style garden party! I love the antique cake stands, the dainty lemon cream macarons and the home made lemonade in the old fashioned bottles. Vases filled with peonies, candy jars and matching cake pops add the finishing touches to this delightful, summery tablescape.

Garden Party
For me, half the fun of entertaining is in the planning! I love the whole creative side of things from picking a theme, to planning the menu, designing the invitations and selecting the style and colour of the decorations. I'm always flicking through magazines and recipe books in search of clever ideas and inspiration. I love getting creative in the kitchen and trying out new recipes on my unsuspecting guests! Thankfully there aren't too many disasters! I am swooning over this pretty springtime inspiration in crisp whites with sorbet accents.
This vintage style tea party with it's dainty china teacups in pastel shades is as pretty as a picture. What a tempting array of treats from iced cookies to frosted cupcakes and mini lemon merignue pies! The country style trestle table adds a nice rustic touch as do the delicate single blooms in assorted jars and vases. It's a table setting full of character and old fashioned country charm!
Entertaining in Pink
I am a huge fan of the dessert bar. A table laiden with colour co-ordinated treats and home baked goodies is a visual feat that few can resist! With a little bit of planning and an eye for detail even the most reluctant of hostesses can throw together a dessert bar without too much effort!
Sunday Brunch
Sunday Brunch
This elegant Sunday brunch in rose pink is sophisticated yet relaxed with some unexpected twists. The setting combines formal elements with casual style and quirky touches. Vintage Chinese floral plates mix effortlessly with rose tinted crystal and coloured linen napkins. Toparies and simple, mixed blooms arranged in tin garden pots make for an enchanting centre piece running the length of the table. Dining chairs with hand-painted silk upholstery move outdoors to add a sense of grandeur to the scene. Champagne cocktails quench thirsty guests and everyone is treated to a goodie bag to remind them of a perfect afternoon!
