Mother's Day Hamper

Homemade gifts are always my favourite type of present.
I love making gifts and cards for friends and family
I also love receiving a gift that someone has made.
Loving this gorgeous idea of a hamper for Mother's Day.
Fill a basket with gorgeous things, wrap it in cellophane
and finish it off with a big bow
.... too easy!

Sunny Days

After a few wet, rainy days I am looking forward to the promise of perfect weather over the weekend. I am making a list of all the lovely things I could do to take advantage of this fine weather after being cooped up indoors for a couple of days. I am thinking about a game of tennis, as last time I played I was sadly in need of some practice, a long walk along the river and a picnic. I'll make an early start in the kitchen on Saturday morning and whip a batch of muffins for morning tea and I'll bake a quiche for lunch. We'll head off to the country for a drive, a rambling walk and a well deserved lunch in a grassy picnic spot. Can't wait!

A Picnic Marie Antoinette Style

 

This is my idea of a blissful afternoon!
Picnicing on the lawn with my girlfriends,
laughing, chatting and gossiping,
pretty dresses, sun hats and sunshine.
Champagne, dainty sandwhiches and delicious treats to eat!

Burberry Style Picnic

 

It's Saturday and the perfect day for a stylish picnic. Pile up a picnic basket with elegant nibbles and a bottle of French champagne. Jump in the car, put the roof down and head for the country with the wind blowing in your hair. Find a shady picnic spot down a country lane and roll out your Burberry picnic rug and while away the afternoon with delicious treats, a good book and plenty of laughter with family and friends! Enjoy your weekend!

A Day In The Garden

 

 

With a lazy Sunday planned, I couldn't think of anything nicer than lounging around in the garden. I'm feeling inspired by these gorgeous images and may set up lunch in the garden or I may even get adventurous and set up a picnic complete with rugs and pillows, china and tea cups. I'll do some baking in the morning and we can have an old fashioned picnic. The kids would think that was a load of fun!

Sunday Picnic

Sundays are a perfect opportunity to veer off the beaten track in search of a pretty meadow or a river bank basking in the day's welcoming sun. Settle in among the daisies swaying gently in the breeze and let the hours unravel over delicious home baked goodies and lazy conversation. Go for a wander and skip stones in the river before the winding country road lures you back to city life and the working week!
