I love all the healthy, fresh treats that summer provides ~

sweet juicy fruit picked straight from the tree,

vegie patches bursting with strawberries, rhubarb and crisp vegies ~

packed full of goodness and bursting with flavour!

I love this time of year when the cherries start to hit the fruit stands.

There's nothing better than sweet, juicy cherries!

delicious in jams, pies and tarts,
perfect on their own or with an indulgent scoop of ice-cream
and they make also make prettiest garnish
 for a dessert or home baked cake!

A Country Outing

  

 

With the promise of blue skies and sunshine it's the perfect excuse for taking a drive to the country. I am looking forward to a brisk walk in the fresh country air then stopping by our favourite picnic spot for some home baked treats and crusty baguettes filled with free range ham, French Camembert cheese and seeded mustard ... yum!
