Today I'm in the mood for all things romantic ....

Like dreamy, light filled bedrooms

crisp, white sheets and cotton waffle blankets

pretty garden picked flowers

lacey curtains overlooking Spring gardens

romantic novels and decorating books.

It's often the simplest things in life

 that give me the greatest joy!

I can't resist any house when it's decorated all in white.

Sometimes I like a few neutrals thrown in just to break it up a bit.

White interiors always look so fresh and uplifting.

I could happily see myself living in any of these cottages ~

that bed just looks so inviting!

vintage and and flea market treasures.
Key elements that give French country houses warmth and character are ~
rustic timbers, worn marble, travertine floors, woven baskets,
natural fabrics, fresh flowers and family heirlooms.

A Good Night's Sleep

 

 

 

Lately I have had so much on my mind ~
a new house, holidays, visitors, parties, fun projects, the list goes on!

I am in a constant state of excitement
and have had trouble sleeping.
So I am really looking forward to a good night's sleep.

I am thinking these gorgeous white bedrooms are my idea
of a perfect place to lay my head to rest!

Vintage Aqua Blue

 

My love of aqua began simultaneously with my love affair for all things from Tiffanys!

After watching 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' at the innocent age of fifteeen ~

I decided then and there that my engangement ring would be from Tiffany's

or there would be no wedding!

Luckily for me,

my husband was happy to comply with my lifelong dream!!

Vintage Days

Today I have a very lazy, relaxing day planned.
After a busy week meeting deadlines and long days shopping with clients ~
I am in desperate need a little R and R.
That includes a long sleep in
breakfast in bed
reading a few magazines in a sunny spot in the garden
and I might even feel motivated enough
to whip up a batch of scones for afternoon tea.
I am always in the mood for a sweet treat on Sunday afternoons!
