Garden Joys

 

The joys of a garden are immeasurable.

I get unlimited pleasure and happiness from my garden.

It aids my well being and leaves me with a sense of calm and tranquility.

I particularly love gardens that are lush and green with large expanses of lawn.

I like gardens that are undulating, enchanting, eclectic,

inspiring and unpredictable.

Lunch In The Garden

 

Today if the blue skies and sunshine holds up

I am hosting a lunch in the garden.

I have invited all of my best girlfriends over 

for a gorgeous, girly lunch and catch up.

There will be pimms and lemonade,

salmon with creme fraiche,

garden fresh asparagus and

pretty pastries for dessert.

I am sure it will be a lot of fun!

Spring Days

Experience the open spaces, fresh air and scent of a spring garden.

I choose plants for my garden based on their perfume, their colour

and the fruits and flowers that they yield.

I get great joy from my garden

and relish time enjoying it's beauty and growth.

Country Field Trip

 

With such gorgeous mild weather I just have to get outdoors and be amongst Mother Nature. The days are warmer and longer and the air is heavy with the smell of Spring blossom. This weekend I am planning on taking a long walk in the countryside. Somewhere I can pick some wild flowers on the roadside and have a picnic under a large, shady tree in a field covered with flowers. I may even make a daisy chair for my hair like I did when I was a little girl. The little country town I have in mind has a 'pick-you-own' orchard so I might fill my empty picnic basket with whatever fruit is in season.

Purple Haze

This weekend I need to get out in the garden. Things have been a bit neglected lately and it's gone a bit wild - taking on a mind of it's own! The weeds have gone crazy, the snails are having a field day and the garden paths have turned into jungles. So it's about time I donned the gardening gloves and put some law and order back into this unruly mess!
