Shabby Chic Romance
Perhaps the very first décor style I fell in love with, may have been Shabby Chic ~ the time-worn pastels, tufted headboards, ruffles and fallen rose petals, the lace and rumpled bed linens, and the pretty dishes on open shelves ~ it was all so utterly romantic. Now there is another stylist who has managed to capture the very essence of Shabby Chic style for more gorgeous inspiration pop over to her blog Simply Me.

Not So Shabby!
"Shabby Chic is a look that's easy to live
with and remarkably versatile. It's a study in contrasts between casual and
elegant; fresh and traditional; simple and ornate; plain and patterned; rumpled
and tidy. And it is a style that easily marries a variety of objects into one
harmonious whole through the liberal use of white and pastels."
Sounds beautiful, doesn't it?
What's more, the best
thing about shabby chic is that trying to recreate the feel
in your own home is
actually achievable and relatively easy.

Sweet Simplicity
This weekend I have had an exhausting, back breaking couple of days in the garden.
I've been cutting back, pruning, weeding, trimming, digging and planting.
My hard work has been well rewarded
and the garden is once again looking spectacular.
By Sunday night, my body was in desperate need of some tlc and pampering.
A long hot bath with some bath salts
is just what the doctor ordered!
Then a good night's sleep in a soft bed
was just what I needed to fully recover!
