Step Into Spring

 

Now that the weather has warmed up,
I am looking forward to getting outdoors and getting some fresh air again.
I suddenly feel inspired to go for long walks,
ride a bike and start my morning runs again.

Weekend Romance

 

 I have lovely weekend planned ~

I want to finish reading the last few chapters of my book

write in my journal

buy some flowers from my local florist  

squeeze in a little shopping

then spend Sunday afternoon at the park.

All in all a very relaxing couple of days!

The Constant Gardner

This weekend is dedicated to gardening....

Sadly, I have somewhat neglected my garden over summer.
There has been far too many exciting distractions.
So this weekend I have promised myself
I will get out there in the sunshine and
weed, prune, trim, chop and do whatever it takes
to get my garden looking perfect again!

Carefree Days

 

 I am making the most of the last of warm, carefree, sunny days

by spending as much time outdoors as possible.

It's all about having fun, being relaxed and soaking up the sunshine.

It's a chance for the kids to run around, laugh and play.

We're going to make every day count!

Sweet Summer Grass

 

I love the smell and feel of summer grass.

It has a fresh sweet fragrance about it ~
especially when it's been freshly mown.
I love walking barefoot and lying in the grass
on a hot summer's day ~
it always feels cool and refreshing!

Spring Romance

 

It's with a little sadness that I watch the last days of spring fade away. The cherry blossom petals have all blown away in the breeze and the last of the spring flowers have been picked. The grass is lush and green and the garden is a chorus of chirping birds. Lazy, sunny afternoons have been spent under a shady tree with a good book and cups of tea and dainty cakes have been enjoyed with girlfriends. It's such a pretty time of year but it's with excitement and anticipation that I look forward to summer - my favourite season of them all!

dappled sunlight filtered through large, shady trees

a hammock slung between two trees and a good book

flowing hair glowing in the sunlight.

Country Field Trip

 

With such gorgeous mild weather I just have to get outdoors and be amongst Mother Nature. The days are warmer and longer and the air is heavy with the smell of Spring blossom. This weekend I am planning on taking a long walk in the countryside. Somewhere I can pick some wild flowers on the roadside and have a picnic under a large, shady tree in a field covered with flowers. I may even make a daisy chair for my hair like I did when I was a little girl. The little country town I have in mind has a 'pick-you-own' orchard so I might fill my empty picnic basket with whatever fruit is in season.
