Shades of Purple

Right now my garden is amass of pretty purple flowers.
I have picked handfuls of them and dotted them around the house
Our home now has a beautiful perfume in the air
and every room is alive with colour ~
it really is a picture of prettiness.

In Love with Lavender

 

 

 

Sadly it's back to work after a lovely Easter break.

But I am feeling refreshed and revived after

long walks, picking flowers along the way,

good books and cups of tea

country drives and fresh air

laughter, rest and family catch ups.

Lavender Dreams

 

 

It's been a busy week with client shopping, architect's meeting and re-arranging all the rooms in my house as well as planning a future renovation for my own home. So today I am feeling a bit creatively burnt out and in need of some R and R. I need to re-charge my batteries so I have promised myself to catch up on some sleep, fill my lungs with fresh air, go for a long walk, eat 3 healthy meals, drink only herbal tea and catch up some reading then tomorrow I will be ready to face the world again!

Lavender Inspiration

 

Lavender is such an amazingly versatile flower.

It has an infinite number of uses - here are a few of my favourites:-

• lavender looks stunning growing in the garden
•  dried in satchels for under pillows and lingerie drawers
• handmade lavender soap
• lavender essential oil
•  decorating desserts and cakes
• prettying up a tablesetting

I love not only the colour but the old fashioned perfume of the flowers!
