Strawberry Cupcake Delight

How delicious! 

 

This weekend we have plenty of friends and family popping in over the weekend.
This calls for lots of home baked goodies on hand.
The cake tins need to be stocked up with slices, biscuits and cakes
ready for our hungry guests!
I'll spend Saturday morning baking in the kitchen.
There's sure to be a batch of strawberry cupcakes
as that's an all time family favourite in my house!

Herb Love

Herbs are the quintessential plant  

- they look gorgeous, smell even better,

 improve the taste of your food and do you the world of good.

Pick them straight from the garden and add a dash to a dish, 

a touch in tea, a sprig on your roast or a sprinkle in your soup.

The extra flavour in your cooking is well worth the effort.

As a very visual person,
I am often overwhelmed by the simple pleasure I get from the
form, colour and texture of flowers, leaves and trees right outside my door.

Spring Gardening

I love this time of year and a chance to get 'down and dirty' in the garden.
I used to hate gardening but since marrying a landscape architect
his passion for gardening has rubbed off on me.
Nowdays, there is nothing nicer than giving the garden a bit of TLC
on a sunny Spring day!
