Strange as it may seem....

over the past few years I have collected ribbons, buttons, coloured paper,

invitations, magazine clippings, books on fashion and interior design.

I make scrapbooks, my own artwork and homemade cards.

All of these creative little hobbies are good for the soul!

Mauve Vintage Chic

 

Mauve is such a serene and pretty colour. A perfect colour for bedrooms and any other living space were you would like a feminine, romantic touch. A lovely accent colour for accessories such as scatter cushions, comforters, occasional chairs and artwork. Mauve, lilac, dusky pink and lavender are all shades for the romantic at heart!

Bright & Charming - Scandinavian Style

This is such a pretty example of the Scandinavian Style that I have grown to love since I started blogging. The clean lines, the bright white painted finishes and the simple design approach are all characteristics of the Scandinavian design ethos. This bright, charming and cosy apartment has added appeal with it's pretty pastel details.

Romance in Provence

 

Friends have just returned from holidaying in Provence ... and I am soooo jealous! They stayed in a beautiful villa and have been teasing us with gorgeous photos of alfresco lunches, picturesque picnics and sunny poolside lounging. I shouldn't be envious because I have been many times but I do look forward to going back one day and introducing my husband to the beauty and romance of Provence!

How heavenly is this collection of 'shabby chic' style country cottages?

They are so pretty and romantic - I just want to pack my bags and move on in!

I could think of nothing more delightful than sitting down to Sunday lunch

at one of those gorgeous dining tables!

A Country Outing

  

 

With the promise of blue skies and sunshine it's the perfect excuse for taking a drive to the country. I am looking forward to a brisk walk in the fresh country air then stopping by our favourite picnic spot for some home baked treats and crusty baguettes filled with free range ham, French Camembert cheese and seeded mustard ... yum!
