Saturday Baking

 

I love nothing more than spending some quality time in the kitchen. I love Saturday baking days just like my Grandma used to have. Nothing brings me more pleasure that a few hours on a leisurely Saturday morning baking a cake or a batch of biscuits, making a loaf of bread and a batch of soup for a hearty Saturday lunch. The smells wafting from the kitchen making cleaning up the mess all worthwhile!

Getting Creative

 

 

I have just put the finishing touches on a very special room in our house.
I now have a room dedicated to my hobbies, creative projects and blogging!
It's pink, white and beige and .... oh so very girly!
There's a pinboard, fashion illustrations, a white desk like the one above
and a shelving unit full of beautiful design books, perfumes, candles, flowers,
boxes with crafty stuff, fashion magazines and design inspiration.
It's beautiful space with velvet striped cushions
sitting elegantly on a chaise.
Today the light was streaming through the window and
I was thinking I was a very lucky person indeed!

Apple Fresh

What a lovely fresh combination green and white is. These crisp green apples and white flowers are a lovely inspiration for a decorating palette. Throw this combination together in any interior scheme and it will always look crisp and clean - almost good enough to eat! It's also easy to add another colour to the mix without making a mistake. I've used it with both raspberry red and pink before and it would go equally well with yellow, beige or blue. It's particularly pretty palette for conservatories or any sunny room that looks out onto the garden.

Lavender Dreams

 

 

It's been a busy week with client shopping, architect's meeting and re-arranging all the rooms in my house as well as planning a future renovation for my own home. So today I am feeling a bit creatively burnt out and in need of some R and R. I need to re-charge my batteries so I have promised myself to catch up on some sleep, fill my lungs with fresh air, go for a long walk, eat 3 healthy meals, drink only herbal tea and catch up some reading then tomorrow I will be ready to face the world again!

A Pefect Weekend

 

I have lovely plans for the weekend ....

nothing too exciting

but plenty of time to relax and enjoy the simple things in life like:~

time to spend in the kitchen baking

french cheese and good wine

leisurely breakfasts with homemade bircher museli

long lunches with friends

some creative downtime in my studio

and some time to catch up on a few chores round the house.
