Gustavian Grace

As you are well aware I am a big fan of Scandinavian style.
This pretty romantic cottage is a perfect example of 'Gustavian Style'

King Gustav III of Sweden was passionate about design and style, developing his own unique style based on a love of French Neo-Classical design influenced by spending a lot of his youth at the courts of Versailles. 'Gustavian style' is marked by grayed pastels, lots of whites and creams, painted furniture, clean simple lines, and fabulous lighting. Lots of leggy furniture, bleached wood, reflective surfaces and mirrors are also key features. Swedish Country style is Gustavian, but it's usually informal with lots of white and rustic furniture.
