Postcards from Provence

 

 For as long as I can remember I have been charmed by provincial style.

I have holidayed there on numerous occasions

decorated two of my houses in the style

and spent hours and hours

reading books on provincial style

or life in Provence.

There's something about Provence that's intoxicating!

Feeling Blue

Today I have been charmed by all things blue.

Blue is a lovely fresh colour

for feature walls, front doors

and breathing new life into a 

second-hand or vintage piece of furniture.

It's often the simplest things that catch our eye

and capture our imagination ~

An old basket full of antique linens

a pretty flower

a dainty tea cup

a well worn silver candlestick

or a delicate piece of lace

Sadly it's back to work after a lovely Easter break.

But I am feeling refreshed and revived after

long walks, picking flowers along the way,

good books and cups of tea

country drives and fresh air

laughter, rest and family catch ups.

Pastel Easter Prettiness

I love getting creative and making crafty things at Easter time.

Easter Fun!

Today we have all the family descending upon us

for a beautiful Easter Sunday lunch in the garden.

There promises to be plenty of good food, laughter and frivolity!

There will be fun and games with an Easter egg hunt

and lots of delicious treats to eat!
