Simply Fresh in White & Green

My all time favourite combination for country house decorating is ~

green and white.

It is so fresh and uplifting
It blends beautifully with the natural surroundings  and 
it helps bring the outdoors in.
You can never go wrong with this pretty colour scheme!

Key elements that give French country houses warmth and character are ~
rustic timbers, worn marble, travertine floors, woven baskets,
natural fabrics, fresh flowers and family heirlooms.

We have a pretty river near where we live
which is great for fishing ~
and when the fish aren't biting
it's the perfect spot for afternoon tea
and relaxing in the sun!

Entertaining Under The Stars

With all of this warm, balmy weather we have been having,

it's the perfect time to entertain outdoors under the stars.

Hang lanterns and fairy lights in the trees,

set the table with candles and tealights

and you will be in for a magical evening!

Valentine's Day Romance

 

I love some old fashioned romance on Valentine's Day!

I am talking flowers and chocolates,
a long, relaxing bath with essential oils
breakfast in bed and
a romantic, home cooked, candlelit dinner.

I would be very excited to receive a box 
of those gorgeous heart shaped macarons!
