Christmas with A Twist

I am loving this take on the traditional red and green theme.
The soft dusty red and the minty green
is refreshingly different and unexpected,
but is still reminiscent of a traditional Christmas colour palette.

Stylish Garden Luncheon

Like everyone, we are frantically trying to catch up with family and friends over Christmas. For us the perfect way to entertain over summer is in the garden. We dress up outdoor tables in white damask cloths, linen napkins, fresh flowers and my grandma's silver. It looks an absolute picture of elegance set up on green lawns under shady trees. After lunch, the kids can go crazy playing in the garden while the adults sit back an relax. It's a lovely way to celebrate Christmas.

Christmas Cheer

Rustic simplicity never goes out of fashion. This lovely vintage style Christmas setting is sweet, pretty and romantic - nothing is showy or overdone. Creativity and imagination can create the most stunning settings without costing a fortune. Think natural materials and handmade finishing touches and you can turn the simple into the sublime. I love homemade star cookies tied with a ribbon and hung on the Christmas tree for an extra sweet touch!

Seasons Greetings

Today I'm loving this fresh green and white Christmas theme, so natural and simple, perfectly capturing the spirit of a country Christmas. Deck the halls with mistletoe and a real Christmas tree is an absolute must - nothing beats the smell of a fresh pine needles. To add a personal touch to your Christmas decorations - it's nice to have a mix of store bought and homemade decorations but keep the theme simple. Decorate the mantel and Christmas table with real foliage such as holly, ivy, berries and spruce - it won't cost a fortune but it will add a whole new dimension to your table setting. Finally turn the lights down and let candles create their ambient magic.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

I've been lucky enough to have had Christmas in New York, London and Paris but I've never had a truly white Christmas where I've woken up in the morning and it's been snowing outside. But I believe with a little bit of imagination you can still create a bit of that magic by having an all white Christmas theme. Mix it back with silver and gold to add that touch of sparkle and you'll almost believe it's snowing!
