Vintage Days

Today I have a very lazy, relaxing day planned.
After a busy week meeting deadlines and long days shopping with clients ~
I am in desperate need a little R and R.
That includes a long sleep in
breakfast in bed
reading a few magazines in a sunny spot in the garden
and I might even feel motivated enough
to whip up a batch of scones for afternoon tea.
I am always in the mood for a sweet treat on Sunday afternoons!

There's something very uplifting

an all time favourite of mine.
It's a simple, pretty colour palette
that makes any decor scheme sing!

Happy Thanksgiving!

To all of our American friends who are sitting down today to roasted turkeys with lashings of gravy followed by delicious treats like pumpkin pie, pecan pie and chocolate cream pie

Simply Fresh

For me white with a splash of green

is the perfect colour palette for a country style cottage.

This colour combination is so fresh and pretty ~

especially in Springtime when the garden 

is a mass of pretty flowers and full of new growth.

Thanksgiving Celebrations

 

Today's post has been inspired by Thanksgiving celebrations that are happening across the States this week. I love the idea of getting together with family and friends to celebrate and give thanks to the year's harvest. I think's it's important to reflect and be grateful for the simple things we often take for granted.

Cinnamon & Pecan

I have a real sweet tooth.

I love drooling over the cakes and pastries

in the shop windows of bakeries, cake shops and French patisseries.

I love pouring over recipe books and foodie blogs.

And although I only eat sweet treats on special occasions

 and in moments of desperation.

I love admiring them and dreaming about them!
