Scandinavian Neutrals

 

I love the neutral tones and textures of Scandinavian style. It's their honest, natural approach to design that really appeals to me. I love the simplicity of their understated colour palette of whites, grey, taupe and beige and the use of natural fibres such as linen and cotton. They use a lot of timber to create warmth and you always see lots of candles in Scandinavian homes that bathe everything in a soft, warm glow.

No matter what brand of cosmetics you buy or how much you spend on it, how you feel inside is written all over your face. There are no quick fixes and expert tricks when it comes to feeling beautiful, but embracing the everyday with open arms and an open heart came make all the difference.

Elegant Outdoor Entertaining

I love this time of year when you cane entertain outdoors in the garden.

I love setting up an elegant table under the trees

and dressing it up in white linen, my finest china, silver and crystal.

I'm not one for saving my best stuff for a special occasion

I like to enjoy the simple luxuries in life 

~ everyday I can!

Afternoon Delights

 

 

This morning I am going to bake a cake and invite the neighbours over for afternoon tea in the garden. I love this time of year ~ as soon as Spring hits everyone starts socializing again and filling their social calendars with garden parties, Sunday lunches, weekend barbeques and dinner parties. I am so glad that winter is over with and there is blue skies, warm weather and sunshine again!
