Elegant Outdoor Entertaining

I love this time of year when you cane entertain outdoors in the garden.

I love setting up an elegant table under the trees

and dressing it up in white linen, my finest china, silver and crystal.

I'm not one for saving my best stuff for a special occasion

I like to enjoy the simple luxuries in life 

~ everyday I can!

Afternoon Delights

 

 

This morning I am going to bake a cake and invite the neighbours over for afternoon tea in the garden. I love this time of year ~ as soon as Spring hits everyone starts socializing again and filling their social calendars with garden parties, Sunday lunches, weekend barbeques and dinner parties. I am so glad that winter is over with and there is blue skies, warm weather and sunshine again!

Hot House Design

With all of this gorgeous spring weather we've been having,

there is no better time to get out in the garden.

My big, rambling garden has been sadly neglected over winter
and is in desperate need of a bit of TLC.
One sunny weekend is really all it needs
to get it back to it's former glory!

Passionfruit & Lemons

I am old fashioned at girl at heart

and I get a lot of pleasure from the simple things in life like....
passionfruit picked straight from the vine and homegrown lemons.
I love passionfruit sponges and anything made with lemons ~
especially lemon curd and lemon delicious pudding!
