The home of the London based photographer Debi Treloar is a charming place full of unexpected colour and clever twists. It is a creative mixture of unsual furniture, bold patterns, interesting chairs and different objects in a vibrant clash of bright colours. The overall feel is fun and witty. Debi has worked with a number of talented stylists like Selina Lake and Holly Becker and this is eveident in her eclectic and confident mix of colours, styles and pattern where she is bound by no rules.

Pink In The Springtime

 

Today I am feeling very inspired by all of these gorgeous pink florals.

It makes me want to decorate my house for spring 

paper my walls

fill large vases with pink blossom

plant seedlings in the garden

and buy some pretty pink bedlinen.

French Chic

 

What an elegantly chic interior!

I love the unexpected twist on the classic French provincial theme.
The contrast between the velvety, glossy chocolate floorboards
and the sharp white of everything else really makes these rooms pop.
When you examine the detail every piece is exquisite
but combined, the overall effect is of harmony and simplicity.
The pieces have been selected for their proportions and beauty by an artful eye.
I love everything about this house
including the stunning chandeliers, mirrors and wall sconces.

Strawberry Cupcake Delight

How delicious! 

 

This weekend we have plenty of friends and family popping in over the weekend.
This calls for lots of home baked goodies on hand.
The cake tins need to be stocked up with slices, biscuits and cakes
ready for our hungry guests!
I'll spend Saturday morning baking in the kitchen.
There's sure to be a batch of strawberry cupcakes
as that's an all time family favourite in my house!

Herbs are the quintessential plant  

- they look gorgeous, smell even better,

 improve the taste of your food and do you the world of good.

Pick them straight from the garden and add a dash to a dish, 

a touch in tea, a sprig on your roast or a sprinkle in your soup.

The extra flavour in your cooking is well worth the effort.

The beauty in nature

As a very visual person,
I am often overwhelmed by the simple pleasure I get from the
form, colour and texture of flowers, leaves and trees right outside my door.
