It's a time for new life and and fresh beginnings.

I love living life to the fullest and soaking up everything.

I believe in following my dreams and

living each day to the max.

I am surrounded by people who love and inspire me.

 I wake up each morning excited to start a new day!

Spring Gardening

I love this time of year and a chance to get 'down and dirty' in the garden.
I used to hate gardening but since marrying a landscape architect
his passion for gardening has rubbed off on me.
Nowdays, there is nothing nicer than giving the garden a bit of TLC
on a sunny Spring day!

Weekend Pleasures

 

 

  

For me, weekends are all about simple joys :-

time to spend baking in the kitchen

cheese platters with a glass of red

relaxed conversations

the Sunday papers

long, hot, steaming baths

time to relax and unwind and

some time to pamper myself.

Country Field Trip

 

With such gorgeous mild weather I just have to get outdoors and be amongst Mother Nature. The days are warmer and longer and the air is heavy with the smell of Spring blossom. This weekend I am planning on taking a long walk in the countryside. Somewhere I can pick some wild flowers on the roadside and have a picnic under a large, shady tree in a field covered with flowers. I may even make a daisy chair for my hair like I did when I was a little girl. The little country town I have in mind has a 'pick-you-own' orchard so I might fill my empty picnic basket with whatever fruit is in season.

Garden Party Inspiration in Pink & Green

 

With Spring in the air and garden parties to plan for I am loving this pretty pink and green inspiration. Being a designer I tend to go a bit overboard with planning parties. They are weeks in the planning looking for inspiring and pouring over recipe books. For me it's all about the detail so I put huge amounts of effort into invitations, printed menu cards, table displays, flowers and party favours. I think I usually end up having more fun than the guests!

Food For Thought

Hand picked goodness

 I love the textures, aromas and colours of fresh ingredients.

Eating a rainbow can fill you with goodness :-

the lush, rich colour of strawberries,

the rich sunshine of an orange,

and the rosy red of an apple.
