Spring is in the Air!

I love Spring ~

it's full of endless possibilities.

After months of staying warm and cosy indoors -

it's time to burst open the windows and doors and

fill the house with fresh air and sunshine.

It's the time to get outdoors and 

make the most of our beautiful surroundings.

Spring is a celebration of life 

and living life to the fullest!

Girls Get Together

 

 

 

This weekend I am having a girls' get together. 

With everyone's busy schedules we haven't spent quality time together for quite some time so I am going to host a bit of afternoon tea for my best friend's birthday. I will fill the house with spring blossom, serve scented herbal teas in dainty china teacups and treat them all with some gorgeous, sugary confections. I'll make up petite sandwiches and tiny tartlettes to serve up with a glass of champagne or two. I can't guarantee there will be lovely sunny weather but I can guarantee plenty of laughter, chit chat and gossip!

Butterfly Magic

 

Spring is a big entertaining season for me - with lots of parties and fun events to look forward to ~ so I am always on the look out for clever ideas and pretty inspiration. This gorgeous white, romantic butterfly theme would make for a perfect spring party in the garden.

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

 

 

After a crazy week at work I have been dreaming of some well deserved 'Me Time'. Just a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon where I can sit quietly under a big shady tree on my lawn enjoying the filtered sunlight whilst sipping a cup of tea. I'll flick through the Sunday Papers, read a chapter or two of my neglected novel and catch up on the latest Vogue and Elle Decoration. Hopefully the kids, dogs, my lovely husband and neighbor's lawn mower will leave me alone in peace just long enough for me to re-gain my sanity!

Welcome Spring

Springtime Pastels

I am so happy and excited that it's the first day of Spring today.

I am looking foward to having spring flowers blooming in the garden

long walks and picnics in the park

entertaining outside and lunches alfresco

warmer temperatures and longer days

freshening up the house with a good Spring clean

packing away my winter wardrobe 

and bringing out my Spring favourites!
