A Splash Of Colour

 

Today is my gorgeous husband's birthday
so I have been busy making him a birthday cake.
To be honest ~
it's not nearly as fabulous as the heart topped strawberry cake above
but it's a good effort
and mine is extra special
because it has been made with a stack of love!!

Sunday Pleasures

 

Sunday loves include :-

a long sleep in
a leisurely breakfast in bed
{my latest craze is homemade toasted museli}
and a skim through the fun sections of the Sunday papers .
On a perfect Sunday

there's always time to read by the fire with a cup of coffee and
time in the kitchen to bake something yummy for lunch.
I always try to whip through a few of the weekly chores
before a long, hot soak in the tub,
Finishing off a the day
with a movie in bed.
Heaven!

Sweet Provincial Living

 

 

 

I am very excited to be working on the renovation of a country farmhouse. The house as is, lacks charm and character after a number of hasty additions over the past 25 years. The clients are about to embark on a major renovation to take it back to it's former glory - the beautiful grand old country house that it was. We have great plans for a country kitchen, stylish marble bathrooms with a claw foot bath, antique French chandeliers and Provincial style furniture. I am going to have great fun collecting ideas for this project and sourcing fabrics and furniture.
