* healthy, active kids with a sense of adventure
* white painted cottages
* 'shabby chic' furniture in pretty pastels
 * time to bake, sew and garden
* room for ponies, dogs and chicken

Golden Days

 

 

 

Now that Autumn has set in, it's time to think about :-

lighting the fire on chilly nights
baking an apple pie
making some homemade pumpkin soup and
 going for walks in the park to hear the leaves crunch underfoot.

Herb Gardens

A herb garden is your little patch to nurture nature.

No matter how humble your home is,

a herb garden only takes the tiniest corner of the earth
or a couple of terracotta pots to flourish.

My favourite herbs are:-

Mint in tea
Basin on salad
Rosemary on lamb
Dill on Fish
Parley sprinkled on soup
Lavender in my drawers

Bowerbird

- A Passion for Collecting -

I'm a bowerbird of all things beautiful :-

I collect everything pretty from paint chips, to colour swatches, cards, ribbons,

stationary, wrapping paper, magazine clippings, shopping bags, invitations, business cards

Anything that catches my eye or take my fancy. 

I keep them in pretty boxes or add them to my pinboard.

Sunday Antique Markets

One of my favourite things to do on the weekend are exploring the Sunday markets and the country Antique stores. The trips are always filled with excitement and anticipation, wondering if you will find an undiscovered treasure, a fabulous bargain and then there's always the possibility that you will come home empty handed! A Devonshire tea on the way is always the perfect pick-me-up if nothing catches my eye.
