This is one of favourite decorating styles - anything French will do it for me - particularly in a palette of whites, creams and beiges. Throw in some antiques, a vintage chandelier, a dressmaker's mannequin, add a touch of  shabby chic and I'm in heaven. I am also in love with the high ceilings, the French Oak parquetry floors, the free standing bath and that divine Louis bed!

Sunshine & Poppies

 

 

 

Today is a public holiday so it's a perfect opportunity to get outdoors and have some fun! A fantastic day for a bike ride, a drive in the country, a long walk in a field full of poppies or a picnic in the park. So make the most of the extra long weekend and do something adventurous. Whatever you end up doing - have a great day!

The Easter Bunny

 

 

 

Well the Easter bunny visits today, so I am hoping he leaves some Easter treats at our house! I'm sure everyone is looking forward to a full filled day with family, friends and over excited kids! I love this fresh green country inspired Easter tablescape. The little nests add a lovely natural touch, the abundance of flowers and candles creates a beautiful setting to delight and inspire.

A Sunny Easter

I am hoping that there's some sunny weather over Easter so we can set up the table outdoors and enjoy lunch outside. I set up the big table under the trees with the white damask table cloth, the good china and the silver. The table is decorated with flowers, hanging painted eggs and nests filled with baby Easter eggs. The table is laden with goodies and lunch will hopefully be a stylish affair. An Easter egg hunt in the afternoon finishes the day off perfectly!

Fun Easter Ideas

Here is some pretty inspiration for Easter decorating. I love the pastel coloured eggs, the rabbit napkins and the branch with the hanging eggs. I usually decorate the table with white painted branches with hand painted eggs hanging on coloured ribbons - it makes for an eye-catching, dramatic centrepiece that fills the table with colour and gets everyone in the mood for celebrating!

Easter Inspiration

As Easter is rapidly approaching, I'm getting busy with Easter preparations. I've been hunting for Easter eggs and decorations to match this year's pink and silver theme. I've also been on the look out for cute ideas to fill the kids' Easter hampers. I try not too overload them with too much chocolate so I fill up their Easter baskets with Easter toys, fun egg cups and Easter mugs. I am loving this gorgeous pastel inspiration!
