Danish Summer House

Who isn't in love with Scandinavian design, crisp, clean and pure? This Danish summer house is no exception with it's layers of white, lime washed floorboards and low key neutrals. An oasis of light, openness and tranquility, providing the perfect escape from a hectic working life.  The attention to detail plays an important role in this house with little vignettes creating interest and personality throughout!

English Country Charm

When I lived in the UK, sunny weekends were usually spent exploring the countryside. There was trips to Bath, Cambridge, Brighton, Devon, Oxford and Cornwall. It's impossible not to fall in love with the English countryside, the quaint villages and good old fashioned English charm. The days were spent taking tours through castles and stately homes, wandering through manicured gardens and walking cobble stoned streets steeped in history. At the end of the day weary legs were rested in cosy B and B's and thirsts were quenched at the local pub!

Poppy Bright

 

It's the weekend and a perfect opportunity to get out go for a walk, pick some wild flowers, have a picnic or climb a tree! I love all these playful poppies and the splash of vivid colour. There's nothing like wandering through a field of flowers, with the sun shining and blue skies above! Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday

 

'Happy Birthday To Me!'

Today is my birthday so this is a celebration

of all the things I love about birthdays:-

homemade birthday cakes 

brightly coloured flowers

beautiful cards and gift wrap

breakfast in bed

party dresses

gorgeous stationary

pretty cupcakes and birthday candles

romantic dinners in candlelit restaurants.

Hopefully my husband will remember a few things on this list!!

Graceful Greys

Grey is a colour that you will rarely see in my wardrobe and it's a colour that I don't often decorate with. I use charcoal all the time with white and black but rarely dabble in the grey area. I think it's my love of colour and crisp white interiors that distracts me from experimenting with grey. However, I can see in these gorgeous rooms how elegant, soft and graceful grey looks so maybe it's time for a change!

Garden Fresh

There is nothing lovelier than flowers picked straight from the garden. They're fresher and last longer than anything you'll buy from your florist or local market. Think outside the square in terms of vases and look in your cupboards and garden shed for things that are little out of the ordinary. Old jam jars, china tea cups, vintage glass bottles, enamelled jugs and tin watering gardens can all bring an unexpected twist to a simple bunch of flowers!
